Slightly further afield, in neighbouring Umbria lie Assisi, Perugia and Norcia. Norcia is a town devoted to the art of sausages and cured meats. Perugia is the capital of Umbria and a centre for chocolate manufacture. Assisi needs no introduction, being the destination for pilgrims from around the world.
