Camerino now has far less snow than it did a few decades ago. In some winters, such as 2006/7 there is none at all. In others, there is normally a fall towards the turn of the year and so, as in 2007, Camerino has a white Christmas. The snow can be quite deep but usually lasts for less than a week. January, February and the early part of March tend to be dry and so snow is rare but, in some years, a heavy snowfall occurs in late March that normally lasts only for a few days.
Of course, in the mountains at the nearby ski resorts the snow lies all winter!
