The absolute novelty of medieval theatre has arrived for the first time in modern Italy for the staging of two original English texts from the second half of the Fifteenth Century: “Noah’s Ark” and “The Second Shepherds”, translated into modern Italian for an immediate understanding. Both texts were used as part of the Corpus Christi celebrations in Wakefield in the 1450s and were here presented in a translation by Professor Stefania D'Ottavi, from the University of Siena.
